About us

 

Mosheim Baptist Church is over 100 years old.  It was part of the bustling community of Mosheim, Texas, just a few miles west-sputhwest of Valley Mills.  Through the years, we have sought to minister to the needs of our community and our church. 

 

We are proud of our Baptist heritage and doctrine.  We believe the Bible is God's written message to us, given through the Holy Spirit to us.  That same Spirit indwells all true believers and illuminates the Bible to guide us as we seek to do His will.  We believe there are two ordinances to be observed by God's people.  We hold to a believer's baptism by immersion, and we observe the Lord's Supper, or communion.  We believe both baptism and the Lord's Supper are symbolic in nature, and that each individual comes to the ordinances as God leads them to.  We observe the Lord's Supper on the fifth Sunday of the month. 

 

Our church is currently cooperating with the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Bosque Baptist Association.  We support the missions of the Southern Baptist Convention through an annual gift given at our Christmas meal in mid-December. 

 

We are a generous fellowship, and God has blessed us an ability to support various missions and ministries, as well as minister to the needs of individuals as we believe God calls us to do.
